Stacey Buzzell

Dr. Stacey Buzzell joined Churchville Veterinary Clinic in October of 2023.  She grew up in Harford County riding and showing in the hunter/jumpers around Maryland and Pennsylvania.  Dr. Buzzell received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Delaware Valley University in Large Animal Science with a minor in Pre-Veterinary Sciences.  While there she was Co-Captain of the Western Equestrian Team and Captain of the English Equestrian Team.  Upon graduation, Dr. Buzzell attended the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech) where she earned her veterinary degree in 2006.

Since then, Dr. Buzzell has worked primarily on horses on farms and at the TB racetracks in MD.  She also spent a number of years working for an animal health company that manufactures supplements in the technical services and R&D departments.  She recently completed the IVAS course in veterinary acupuncture for horses and small  animals and is in the process of compiling her case logs to achieve full certification.

Dr. Buzzell owns and enjoys spoiling her childhood pony (Skip To My Lou, aka Lou), Lou's ½ welsh son (EightBallCornerPocket, aka Simon), an OTTB (Hotcrabsncoldbeer, aka Fred), and a possibly Beagle-Corgi mix dog (Q).  She has dabbled in showing Australian Shepherds in AKC and herding training with her mother.  In her space time, Dr. Buzzell enjoys spending time with her horses and dog, reading a good crime novel, and playing pool competitively.
